About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Engineering Department in Hong Kong, the Senior A&R Technician is responsible for carrying out operation, repair and maintenance of HVAC system, cooling towers, refrigeration system, equipment and fittings.  The Senior A&R Technician reports to the Building Services Engineer.

As Senior Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Comply with Fire, Life, Health, Safety, Security (FLHSS) Standards to maintain a proper and safe work area
• Perform Emergency Response Team duties
• Carry out maintenance work according to the hotel plan
• Perform routine inspections of all ice-cube machines, refrigerators, cold rooms, package or window type air conditioners and any other refrigeration equipment.
• Perform electric welding, inert gas arc welding and acetylene welding when necessary liaise with other departments & contractors.

As Senior Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Technician, we expect from you:

• Holder of relevant certificate
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with similar position
• Experience in luxury hotels or Club House would be an advantage
• Certificate holder of Certificate in Refrigeration, Air-conditioning & Ventilation Installations and relevant Certificates are required
• Holder of welding license
• Shift work is required
• Good communication skills and good command of written English & Chinese.
