About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Finance (Share Service) Department  in Hong Kong, the Assistant Cost Controller is responsible for the day-to-day execution of cost control activities supporting a combined operation of 19 food and beverage outlets, banqueting operations, catering activities, and central receiving and stores functions. The position works closely with Culinary, F&B, Procurement, Receiving & Stores, and Finance teams to ensure inventory integrity, accurate cost reporting, compliance with company policies, and identification of profit improvement opportunities.  The Assistant Cost Controller reports to the Cost Control and Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.

As Assistant Cost Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Food cost control
• Beverage cost control
• Inventory management and governance
• Inventory system administration
• Recipe management and costing
• POS administration and menu maintenance
• Purchasing compliance review
• Receiving and stores control oversight.

As Assistant Cost Controller, we expect from you:

• Degree in Accountancy or related disciplines is preferred
• Above 3 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
• Familiar with experience in computerized accounting system, SUN System
• Good command of written & spoken English & Chinese
• Self-initiative, attentive to details and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive, detailed-oriented, hands on, multi-tasking and able to work independently and under pressure
• Immediate availability will be an advantage.
