VP (Treasury & Markets, Finance & Risk Management Audit Team) - Internal Audit

Responsibilities:

• Assist Team Head to formulate and execute of a risk-based annual audit plan and strategy that aligns with the Bank’s corporate goals and meets mandatory regulatory requirements for Audit Committee approval
• Take ownership of the audit engagements in Treasury & Markets, Finance and Risk Management functions, cover planning, risk assessment, fieldwork and reporting, to ascertain internal control adequacy and effectiveness
• Provide recommendations on audit observations and follow-up the execution of remedial actions
• Maintain internal audit policy and procedure, perform periodical regulatory review, gap analysis to ensure relevant regulatory requirements are complied
• Manage audit relationship, and perform continuous monitoring with relevant stakeholders to keep abreast of changes in business and control environment, to ascertain the audit plan remains valid and propose any changes in audit scopes
• Provide support to the audit assignments in Mainland China and/or other locations outside of Hong Kong as required
• Supervise and coach team members to uplift technical capabilities and performance during assignments
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Professional qualification of CPA, CIA, FRM will be an advantage
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in relevant audit field in banking or financial institutions; in-depth expertise in auditing Treasury, Finance and ALM activities (e.g. liquidity risk, market risk, funding, financial reporting) and exposure in managing / leading audit engagements
• Familiar with relevant regulatory requirements and market practices, particularly in treasury, financial markets, finance and risk management
• Experience with CAATs, data analytics, or AI tools is a strong asset
• Self-initiative, able to work independently with good time management
• A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent bilingual report writing skills (English & Chinese)
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel to Mainland China
