Position Summary
Responsible for synergizing BEAHK and BEA China resources to explore and drive cross-boundary business opportunities. Leveraging deep Personal Banking expertise and cross-border regulatory acumen, the incumbent will utilize exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration to translate strategic blueprints into tangible business outcomes. A key focus of this role is providing top-level strategic design and advisory to Executive Management.
Responsibilities
- Identify Personal and Private Banking growth opportunities across HK and the Mainland. Actively connect with Mainland partners (e.g., branches, third-party payment platforms, fintechs) and the internal stakeholders to commercialize new initiatives.
- Lead the full-cycle execution of cross-boundary financial products. Ensure seamless resource alignment and resolve technical, operational, and compliance issues during on-the-ground implementation.
- Deeply analyze bilateral regulations (e.g., Wealth Management Connect, cross-boundary accounts/payments) to formulate top-level business designs and draft strategic proposals for C-suite decision-making.
- Serve as the core coordinator to drive consensus and high-efficiency communication among leaders in Compliance, Risk Management, IT, Operations, and Frontline units.
- Conduct market competition analysis and business data modeling. Prepare high-quality executive presentations (PPT) to report strategic progress and outcomes to senior management.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of banking experience with a strong background in Personal and/ or Private Banking.
- Deep understanding of HK and the Mainland banking operations and regulatory differences. Proven experience in cross-boundary financial projects (e.g., Greater Bay Area initiatives) is highly preferred.
- Exceptional logical thinking and writing skills. Proven ability to translate complex regulatory policies into clear, actionable commercial language.
- Strong cross-team influencing capabilities, able to effectively communicate and achieve consensus with leadership across all levels.
- Fluent in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Excellent Chinese writing skills (both Simplified and Traditional).
- Possesses a strong entrepreneurial spirit; highly adaptable and capable of finding innovative solutions within ambiguous business environments.
- Relevant HKIB qualification would be an advantage
