About the Role

As a Director of Engineering, you will be supervising the Engineering Team to ensure daily operations with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, upgrades, and installation of all building systems, including Electrical, Air-conditioning & Ventilation, Sanitary and Plumbing, ensuring compliance with fire, life, and safety standards.
  • Lead and manage the Engineering Team to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Provide technical solutions and troubleshooting to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve engineering issues proactively.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in all repair and maintenance work for both in-house and outsourced.
  • Manage budgets, special projects, preventive maintenance programs, and energy conservation initiatives.
  • Lead emergency response for all facility-related incidents.
  • Maintain current licenses, permits, and certifications for building and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering audit and standards.

About You

  • Degree in Building Services or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; preferably Chartered Engineer.
  • Proven background and experience as Director of Engineering / Head of Engineering of large-scale luxury Hotels (500 keys + with multiple outlets and function spaces).
  • Experience with high-rise building environment, multi-purpose complex (mixed-use commercial, mall, office) and renovation projects would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
