Distribution Ganger

Requirements

• Have completed a full apprenticeship or other approved course of practical training in civil engineering, or equivalent; or have at least three years' experience in waterworks, or equivalent
• Be required to pass a trade arranged by the Engineer

Responsibilities

• Include but not be limited to undertake works in shift and/or in any irregular hours to operate valves; carry out maintenance works and minor repairs of distribution systems; fix and remove water meters in consumers' premises; clear choked meters; install and repair small size water mains and fittings; construct brick manholes and valve chambers
• Receive instructions from the Engineer or his Representatives for any other duties in remote area and under harsh conditions
