Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Trade Execution
- Prepare daily morning market briefings, incorporating comprehensive analysis and value-added insights to support internal decision-making and client communications
- Monitor real-time market activity and liquidity flows to identify trends and support trading strategies
- Ensure timely and accurate order placement and execution
- Support portfolio rebalancing activities in alignment with the Company’s investment strategy and risk parameters
Client Support & Business Development
- Partner with Business teams to fulfill ad-hoc and recurring business analysis requests, providing data-driven recommendations
- Participate in client meetings with Business teams to support investment product pitching with expert market perspective
- Provide market color, pricing, and trade ideas to RM/customer to enhance portfolio performance
- Develop and onboard new client relationships while deepening engagement with existing accounts to drive business growth
Client Service & Communication
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries regarding order routing, execution, and trade confirmations
- Track market developments, earnings announcements, and sector trends to identify actionable insights for clients
- Distribute market commentary, research highlights, and daily summaries to keep clients informed and engaged
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Support
- Collaborate with research, trading, and business teams to synthesize market intelligence and generate investment ideas
- Liaise with operations, compliance, and settlement teams to ensure accurate trade processing and timely query resolution
- Monitor trade allocations, confirmations, and adherence to regulatory policies and internal policy
- Support day-to-day activities, including ad-hoc data requests, company background research, and other evaluation tasks to facilitate informed decision-making
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by management / supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of relevant experience in equity research experience
- Holder of SFC license RA 1, 4 & 9 with sound knowledge of the SFO and applicable SFC regulatory requirements/guidelines
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills with a client-service mindset
- Proficient in market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg) and Microsoft Excel; programming skills for analytics/tools (e.g., Python/SQL) are an advantage
- Good knowledge in AI Prompts
- Strong understanding of global markets, trading mechanics, and asset management
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask under pressure; team player with proactive attitude
- Good command of both English & Chinese, written and spoken
