Chief Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
• Lead, train, and supervise the engineering team, ensuring they deliver high-quality work and adhere to safety protocols.
• Prepare and manage the engineering department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with local regulations, including fire safety codes, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, renovations, or installations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
• Monitor and optimize energy consumption across the property to reduce costs and promote sustainability initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related emergencies and ensure swift resolution to minimize impact on guests and operations.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve maintenance issues that affect guest experience.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualifications.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering or maintenance roles within the hospitality industry.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and hotel maintenance operations.
•  Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, and building management systems.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
