What will you do?

  • Maintain high standards in daily kitchen operations
  • Assist Executive Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Ensure all dishes produced within your section are prepared consistently according to standardized recipes, presented attractively, of high quality, and served at the correct temperature
  • Ensures that all food storage, preparation, and service meet proper temperature guidelines
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas; ensure colleagues clean their stations after each service
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are maintained in compliance with HACCP and Safety & Environmental regulations
  • Ensure ingredients are fresh and inventory is well stocked
  • Promote safe and proper use of equipment and train all culinary staff accordingly

What do we seek in you?

  • Possess 5 years of culinary experience (preferrably cold kitchen) at a luxury hotel or upscale western restaurant plus 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Approved/ Recognized Food Handling/ Sanitation Certificate
  • Well-versed in kitchen hygiene
  • A good team player with strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated, Independent and creative
