Serve as a senior checker/deputy team head to oversee client investment account opening and daily settlement activities for multi‑asset products, including Derivatives, Bonds, Funds, and Equities.
Review, authorize, and validate settlement and corporate action instructions transmitted to custodian banks via SWIFT.
Ensure strict adherence to HKMA regulatory circulars, internal policies, and standard operating procedures; proactively identify, escalate, and report irregular or high‑risk payment cases.
Perform and oversee daily bank reconciliations, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of all breaks and discrepancies.
Act as deputy to the Team Lead by providing guidance to team members, and lead or actively participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and system enhancement initiatives, including Avaloq and Murex upgrades.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant operations experience within Private Banking, with demonstrated exposure to senior or supervisory responsibilities.
Hands‑on experience with core banking and settlement systems, including Avaloq, Murex, and/or SWIFT Alliance.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced VBA skills for workflow optimization and process automation.
Proven risk awareness with a strong attention to detail and control mindset.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for appointment to a more senior position.
