John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Corporate Finance Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
Manager, Corporate Finance
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of head office strategic and financial analysis, support senior management on the evaluation, execution and on-going monitoring of corporate activities, such as investment, divestment, restructuring, share buyback, capital and portfolio allocation, etc. The position will work closely with business units on M&A, capex investments, and other strategic actions, to gate-keep and/or lead the execution.
Responsibilities:
- Steer the building and checking of financial models, financial analysis and cost of capital analysis
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout transaction process, and take lead of due diligence, documentation, and post-mortem analysis
- Draft, review and critique info memos, circulars and other materials on major transactions for Swire Pacific Board or Investment Committee. Respond to queries as needed
- Lead the research and analysis on the review and update of Company’s strategic directions, by conducting industry research, peer benchmarking, and financial analysis for capital allocation, portfolio performance, and business valuation
- Conduct research and analysis on other ad hoc topics as required
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related disciplines
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in top tier investment banking, private equity, and corporate finance
- Hands-on experience in closing complex transactions including both IPO and M&A
- Sound knowledge of various valuation methodologies and financial modelling, with familiarity using AI-powered and digital tools in daily work
- Familiarity with accounting, tax, legal and listing rule requirements in multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
