About the job

Based at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within F&B Service Division in Hong Kong, the Barista will be responsible to provide a high standard of service, which is friendly, attentive and anticipates guest needs. Exemplary menu knowledge relating to the product both food and beverage and knowledgeable relating to the hotel product & facilities. Responsible for collecting and acting upon guest preferences to delight the guest and ensure the preferences are adhered to accordingly. The Barista reports to the Assistant Manager.

As Barista, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Service readiness & cleanliness: Prepare BOH/FOH areas, set up stations/tables, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain a clean restaurant during service.
  • Guest engagement & service delivery: Greet guests, take drink/food orders (including POS entry), provide bread & butter and standard service sequences, and maintain excellent guest experience.
  • Operational responsibility during shifts: Take ownership of the assigned station/section, assist load/carry and non-alcoholic beverage needs, and report guest concerns promptly to management.
  • Technical café/bar standards: Prepare and serve coffee/tea/specialty drinks to standard (including milk texturing/latte art), ensure beverage consistency, and keep equipment sanitized and reset for next orders.
  • Stocking, cash/POS & safety: Stock/rotate inventory, manage cash register/POS transactions, balance drawers, and follow health, safety, and allergen/cross-contamination procedures.
  • Assist the management in achieving departmental goals and ensure guests satisfaction level
  • Responsible for all aspects of Fire, Life, Health, Safety & Security pertaining to F&B operations, HACCP & Food Safety in the outlet

As Barista, we expect from you:

  • With at least 1-2 years’ experience in Barista or hotel experience
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional F&B service
  • Pleasant, presentable, service -oriented and good supervision skills
  • A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Cantonese and English. Mandarin is an advantage
