Manager / Assistant Manager, Sustainability (Data and Greentech)

Responsibilities:

• Support implementation and monitoring of Greentech projects to advance the Bank’s transition to net zero financed emissions

• Measure and baseline high-carbon sector portfolios, and assist in developing the Bank’s ESG data platform

• Collaborate with business units to implement and monitor the Bank’s net zero roadmap for financed emissions targets

• Work with IT and cross-functional teams to develop Greentech initiatives

• Collect and analyze ESG data and sustainability KPIs to meet reporting requirements

• Support execution of the net zero roadmap by measuring financed emissions and contributing to target-setting and transition planning

• Monitor financed emissions to help achieve ESG objectives and support client sustainability

• Provide updates on net zero progress through staff training sessions and meetings

• Enhance sustainability data management and visualization to improve disclosures

• Assist in preparing presentations for the Sustainability Working Group and Committee

• Maintain relationships with external ESG and sustainability experts who support the Bank’s net zero initiatives

• Assist in managing project budgets to ensure compliance with approved limits

• Support sustainability and green banking management reporting for governance bodies

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in Green and Sustainable Finance (GSF), Environmental Management, Fintech/Greentech or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, with familiarity in sustainability disclosure frameworks (e.g., IFRS S1 and S2, TCFD, GRI, SASB)

• Strong knowledge of carbon accounting (especially financed emissions) and carbon reduction initiatives (e.g., SBTi, NZBA) is preferred

• Fast learner and self-motivated with strong analytical skills and the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data and information

• Able to work independently and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives

• Solid project and time management skills with good attention to detail and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

• Knowledge of Python and Power BI is an advantage

• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
