Responsible for supporting the Sustainable Operations Manager by leading day-to-day initiatives in the Health, Safety and Workplace Wellness (HSW) pillar
Monitor the Bank’s HSW issues and ensuring the daily operations are in accordance with the statutory requirements and the Bank’s standard procedures
Act as the subject matter expert of Corporate Safety and Workplace Wellness for the Bank Group
Manage and deliver HSW programs, update the Bank’s HSW manuals and/or guidelines
Keep track record of all HSW related Registers
Serve as a Group-wide HSW compliance program owner to interpret HSW regulations and develop Group-wide standards, procedures or programs
Monitor the operations of branch, department, and warehouse to ensure staff have strictly followed the HSW requirements
Ensure compliance with local HSW codes and standards across all sites
Assist supervisors to review operations procedures with reference to HSW polices and rules
Assist supervisors to identify problems and obstacles and develop resourceful solutions proficiently and creatively to ensure the effectiveness of services provided
Assist supervisors to streamline operation procedure with reference to the Bank’s policies and rules
Assist in preparing, monitoring and coordinating of budgets for the Bank’s properties
Ensure implementation of effective cost control measures on budget control
Communicate with various internal and external customers and vendors
Work with stakeholders to promote workplace wellness for the Bank Group, from strategising to implementation
Collaborate with stakeholders to promote workplace mental health across the Bank Group
Provide employees, facility management and division management with HSW related guidance, regulatory advice and training
Arrange HSW trainings for bank staff with Training & Development Department
Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
Conduct HSW assessments, inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory, permit and company requirement
Requirements
University graduate, preferably major in Health and Safety, Public Health, Sustainability, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or equivalent;
5+ years’ working experience in sizeable corporations, contracting or consulting firms. Experience in Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) management and workplace wellness preferred;
Sound knowledge on OSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001;
Must be a Registered Safety Officer (Registered Safety Auditor qualification is an advantage);
Accreditation in WELL building Standard (WELL AP) will be an advantage;
Hands-on experience in delivering HSW initiatives / projects
Proactive, passionate in health, safety and workplace wellness and open to challenge
Sound knowledge in business operations and able to prepare and interpret financial budgets;
Sound knowledge of facility management / property management and able to work with stakeholders to ensure excellent facility management services provided with best-in-class HSW standards;
Hands-on, flexible, excellent prioritisation skills and possessing all rounded skillsets, from strategising to implementations;
Good understanding of relevant regulations, policies, procedures, practices and rules;
Strong leadership and problem solving skills;
Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills;
Highly independent with ability to interact with multi-cultural teams;
Good PC skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
Well-presented and solid communication skills (written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin)
