About the role
As an Assistant IT Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the computer systems and platforms within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of the Club’s technical needs and bring best practices to the Club.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the IT Manager in overseeing daily IT operations, system performance monitoring, and service delivery
- Support the implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and integration of key business systems, including Aspen, POS, mobile applications, website platform, membership database, inventory control, and related APIs
- Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users on Microsoft 365, account management, PCs, servers, and networking; ensure timely incident identification and resolution
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware/software specifications, ownership, and location
- Manage VMware clusters, virtual servers, and Veeam backup operations
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to monitor performance against SLAs, follow up on issues, and manage enhancement requests
- Oversee system security measures, including user access controls, patch management, backup integrity, and disaster recovery testing
- Participate in IT projects by contributing to requirements gathering, system testing, documentation, and successful rollout
- Assist in developing, documenting, and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices
- Provide standby/on-call support during events, system cutovers, scheduled maintenance windows, or urgent operational issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT operations or system support, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Hands-on experience with Aspen system, POS systems, mobile applications, website CMS platforms, APIs, and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude
