Senior Systems Analyst (MPF and Bancassurance) - Personal Banking & Wealth Management Technology

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple application development teams in supporting the development and production support for MPF and insurance systems in the Personal Banking Division
• Perform system analysis functions - develop and maintain systems according to standard of the department
• Assist in the evaluation of software and hardware products
• Liaise among relevant business units to understand their business needs and to lead the teams in delivering respective solutions for digital channels and other banking systems
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
• Plan and monitor the work of Senior Analyst/Programmer, Analyst/Programmer and Programmer
• Collaborate with the Bank’s offshore information technology management team to optimize the use of the respective resources in the different areas
• Perform project decision making in considering information technology resources, budget, cost implications as well as risk impacts, and collaborating with stakeholders

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in system development, with at least 4 years in a System Analysis or Lead capacity.
• Proven track record in Banking or Financial applications; experience with MPF systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Node.js (Backend), React.js (Frontend), and PM2 process management.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS EKS, and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server and Redis (in-memory data structures).
• Proficient in Linux environments, specifically using WSL for development and deployment tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Microservices architecture.
• Experience in modernizing mainframe applications is considered a significant advantage.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage complex tasks and deliver results under tight project timelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese + Mandarin) required
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the System Analyst position.
