Position Summary

  • Achieve the goals for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of branch by ongoing review of the process and control and drive enhancement initiatives
  • Responsible for establishing branch procedure with balance of control and operational efficiency and meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Control project expense within the approved budget
  • Design the work process to strike a balance between customer experience and operations control
  • Maintain branch control mechanism to strengthen operational risk management
  • Coordinate and liaise with relevant departments for branch operations process and control improvement initiatives
  • Support / monitor the daily operational issues in branches are adhered to branch operation guidelines
  • Establish and develop procedure and workflow related to branch operations and selling process 
  • Coordinate and monitor RCSA and control testing plan within department to ensure a sound and robust risk control framework in place 
  • Coordinate and conduct self-assessment and gap analysis for department to identify and devise the appropriate action plan together with the subsequent monitoring of the implementation status
  • Ensure all procedures are in compliance with all policies, rules, guidelines, requirements prescribed by regulators as well as the Bank
  • Liaise with other departments or colleagues within the Department to make enhancements regarding the branch operations and control
  • Cultivate branch operations management culture for all branch staff, especially on risk and control awareness and management
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
  • Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
  • Perform ad hoc tasks for the Department and Personal Banking Division

 

Requirements

  • University graduate; or other relevant professional qualifications;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking sector cover the following:
  • Sound knowledge in branch operations and control;
  • Good understanding of relevant banking operations, controls, compliance and accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of the Alnova System; 
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and risk awareness
  • Good communication and analytical skills, strong leadership ability and high sense of responsibility
  • Independent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
