Job Duties:

  • Assistant with Executive Chef
  • Designing new recipes, updating menus, and overseeing food presentation to ensure it meets high-quality standards.
  • Hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring kitchen personnel, including line cooks and sous chefs
  • Organizing the kitchen workflow, managing food production, and acting as the expediter during service to ensure dishes are served on time.
  • Monitoring food and labor costs to stay within budget, conducting inventory, and ordering supplies.
  • Enforcing strict sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety regulations, ensuring all equipment is well-maintained.
  • Tasting and checking all food items for consistent quality, seasoning, and presentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Typically 5+ years of experience in a similar role or as a sous chef 
  • in the Fine Dining restaurant environment
  • Good team leader and team player and ability to work under pressure
  • Passion for food, exceptional work ethic and dedication
  • Self-motivation, leadership, strong sense of responsibility
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese/Cantonese and spoken English
