Personal Banking Division
The Personal Banking Division (PBD) is responsible for developing and managing the Hong Kong personal banking businesses of the Bank group, including deposits, account services, credit cards, consumer finance, mortgage loans, retail investment products, insurance products, branch distribution, channel & transaction management, marketing and retail risk & compliance.
Responsibilities
- Act as investment champion of Personal Banking Division to oversight and drive enhancement and/or projects on investment product delivery (include Unit Trusts, Bonds, Structured Products, Treasury and FX products), sales process and procedure, system enhancement and digital journey
- Ensure all initiatives are in compliance with the Bank’s internal process and procedures, as well as the latest guidelines from regulators in Hong Kong and the Mainland
- Lead design of a customer centric retail wealth journey, with focus on digital channels
- Participate in business initiatives and/or projects to enhance retail investment product delivery, include but not limit to product/system/digital channel enhancement initiation to support retail investment revenue growth
- Oversight proper implementation of sales processes and procedures to ensure compliance of regulatory requirement and proper governance on key touch points on wealth products delivery, include but not limit to Risk Assessment/Profiling Questionnaire, suitability assessment, distribution of Investment products through digital channels, customer journey of vulnerable customers, etc.
- Assist Department Head to meet the business plan on investment products fee income
- Collaborate with different stakeholders under the 3 lines of defense business operational framework to ensure product and sales compliance to regulators’ requirement and expectation
- Keep abreast of the latest market/industry development to upkeep the Bank’s market competitiveness in terms of product, channel delivery and customer experience
- Supervise, monitor, provide guidance and develop subordinates to meet the planned business goals
Requirement
- University graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 12 years’ of experience in the banking sector or financial industry, preferably in wealth management products development or management, segment management, business management, product marketing, or distribution and sales support management position which include at least 6 years of managerial position
- Solid experience in retails investment products management, which includes product development and/or delivery, investment product compliance, project management, distribution in banking or financial services industry, with a strong track record on business performance
- Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of retail bank’s wealth management products & services
- Strong ownership, excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
- Independent, self-motivated and excellent problem solving skills
- PC literate with good knowledge of MS Office
- Good command of written and verbal English and Chinese
