About the Role
As an Assistant Chief Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and stewarding area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Department in managing the daily operations of the Stewarding Department, including cleaning processes, stock control and adherence to hygiene, safety, and health standards across all F&B areas.
- Plan and execute quarterly inventory counts; analyze losses and breakages, and recommend procurement of operational equipment as needed.
- Ensure effective communication within the Department and keep Management informed of operational matters and guest feedback.
- Liaise with the local Health Ministry on environmental and hygiene-related matters.
- Supervise silverware polishing, kitchen cleaning, and waste disposal while providing hands-on on-floor support.
- Promote environmentally responsible practices, including waste reduction and recycling.
- Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
About You
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Hospitality or Catering Industry, with minimum 3 years in a supervisory or similar role.
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene, workplace safety, and HACCP standards.
- Well versed in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
