Assistant Manager/Manager/AVP of Investment Operations Section (Shift Duty)

Job Summary

• Responsible and manage all operations activities of investment operations section

• Investment Product coverage: Virtual Asset, Securities Settlement, Corporate Action Settlement , IPO

• Support the business to launch the new investment products, services and distribution channels

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational procedures

• Ensure control and compliance with operational risk management standards and regulatory requirements in all areas of the team

• Shift Duty is required

Responsibilities:

• Thorough understanding of local & global equity markets, different financial instruments & operations flow

• Support the business as the subject matter expert to launch the new or change in investment products, services and distribution channels

• Define, implement & monitor SLA of different operational activities

• Manage & monitor the implementation of new systems, launch of products, and departmental & cross-departmental projects in accordance to the business strategies

• Perform duties as assigned by senior

• Ensure the operations in compliance with related statutory and regulatory requirements, service agreement and internal guidelines

• Liaise with different stakeholders in supporting the daily operational activities & resolve any operational issues of the section

• Develop and implement comprehensive operational procedures in timely manner, and ensure control & compliance with operational risk management standards, regulatory requirements, and service agreement in all areas of the section

• Identify area of improvement, development and opportunity of the section, and drive productivity & operational excellence

• Ensure competency across the section of the necessary skills and knowledge to complete all required tasks

• Responsible for effective supervision, performance of individual and team activities to achieve required productivities and effectiveness (senior roles)

• Senior roles require to assists section head managing all daily operations activities of investment operations section

Requirements:

• Degree holder

• Minimum 3 years of relevant banking experience

• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;

• Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem solving and influencing skills

• Familiar with the regulatory requirements (i.e. HKMA & SFC) & markets practices

• Proficiency in written English and Chinese ; Proficiency in spoken English, Cantonese & Putonghua

• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing skills

• Less experienced candidates will be considered for Assistant Manager
