Research Assistant

We are seeking a Research Assistant to support our Lead Analyst in covering the IT Hardware sector. This role offers hands-on exposure to equity research, including monitoring industry developments, data-driven analysis, and contributing to high-quality investment reports in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in writing research reports, notes, and generating investment ideas
• Maintain and update financial models to support company and sector analysis
• Promptly respond to sales and client requests
• Monitor daily news flow, industry trends, supply chain dynamics, and competitive developments in the IT Hardware sector
• Candidates with sufficient experience may be given opportunities for independent stock coverage

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics / AI Technology. Minimum 2:1, GPA 3.2/4.0 (or equivalent)
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Complete proficiency in written English and Chinese. Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
• Ability to multitask under tight deadlines, strong organisational and communication skills
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Databases like CEIC, WIND and Bloomberg
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment banking or related fields is preferred
• Effectively using AI is preferred
