About the job

Based at the The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Pastry Kitchen in Hong Kong, the Commis is responsible for the department head or supervisor with daily working requirements; maintain standards and cleanliness for selected outlet. Commis reports to the Executive Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie.

As Commis , you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist to produce daily pastries and desserts
• Be responsible for mise-en-place preparation
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of refrigerators and service area
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time

As Commis , we expect from you:

• With relevant experience in pastry kitchen operations. Experience in fine-dining restaurants or luxury hotels would be an advantage
• Pleasant, positive-thinking, willing to learn and be a team player
• Good command of spoken English and Chinese
