VP/ AVP (Team Lead Role) – Product Process & Project

Major Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of professional staff to ensure the efficiency and compliance requirements of branch operations in retail business activities and the Insurance and Investment process, including but are not limited to the major responsibilities below:

• Oversee the operational framework on banking products and timely collaborate with the business line, Compliance, Risk Management and other relevant stakeholders for enhancement

• Formulate, review and update guidelines, processes and procedures pertaining to product process compliance with the latest regulatory requirements

• Stay constantly alert of changes in regulatory and internal requirements, emerging business and compliance risks, communicate to internal stakeholders, drive risk and control measures and lead control related projects

• Manage and monitor the implementation of system enhancement and control related projects

• Ensure the sales process and operations of the banking products in compliance with related statutory and regulatory requirements as well as internal guidelines

• Responsible for effective supervision, performance of individual and team activities to achieve required productivity and effectiveness

• Actively contribute to developing a positive culture of continuous improvement across product controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management or other related disciplines

• ECF-ORM (core / professional) certification preferred

• At least 10 years relevant experience in banking industry, with solid exposure to branch operation, especially on investment & insurance sales process

• Sound knowledge of HK regulatory requirements related to investment and insurance sales process in banking industry

• Strong attentiveness to detail, compliance and control orientation

• Strong persuasive power in putting ideas across and ability to communicate with people of different levels

• Team leader with sound analytical, planning and interpersonal skills

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

• (Potential high caliber candidate with less relevant experience may be considered as Assistant Vice President)
