Interest Rate Trader, Global Markets

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a trading book, delivering the budget revenues through active positioning, market analysis, and disciplined risk management
• Conduct proprietary trading across interest rate products, with a primary focus on HKD and CNH markets
• Exercise strong judgment in assessing risk‑reward profiles of transactions, ensuring alignment with internal risk limits and governance frameworks
• Provide competitive and timely pricing quotations to support sales team
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates are expected to possess:

• Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related disciplines
• Minimum 5-8 years of trading or relevant market experience, with hands-on exposure to HKD and CNH interest rate products
• Proven track record in taking and managing risk across interest rate instruments
• Strong market instincts, quantitative skills, and the ability to make fast and accurate trading decisions in a dynamic environment
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong team player with adaptability
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
• Knowledge of booking systems, trading protocol, and closing technicalities
