Bottom line? We’re looking for a Paymaster & General Cashier at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong comfortable with balancing the books when it comes to managing the needs of owners, auditors and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability, providing full support to Operation Manager.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Working as an important member of hotel pre-opening team and assisting in building your future finance team and culture.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of the daily banking of cash, preparing the General Cashiers Summary and processing petty cash.
- Responsible for maintaining records and documents related to any payroll activities and provides prompt and accurate payment of staff.
- Performing payroll processing and month end closing of payroll and maintains control over actual payroll performance.
- Cooperating, coordinating and communicating with other departments in matters concerning payroll matters and internal control.
- Interacting, as required, with individuals outside the hotel including hotel’s bank, tax auditors and other hotels and IHG corporate offices.
What we need from you
- A minimum of 2 years of solid relevant experience in payroll and general cashier operations in hotels.
- A higher diploma in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
- Hands-on, responsible, attention to details, possess strong sense of intergrity.
- Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
- Familiar with labour ordinance and MPF rules and regulations.
- Familiarized with Sun Ledger and HR Server will be advantages.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in both English and Cantonese, speaking and writing.
