At the moment, we are looking for a Chief Steward to join our professional team at The Royal Garden Kowloon East.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead day-to-day operations of the stewarding department
- Responsible for maintaining the sanitation and organization in all food production areas
- In charge of the managing linens, Chinaware, silverware and glassware
- Oversee the following areas to achieve operation efficiency included cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment, receiving and storage of kitchen equipment, cleaning of maintenance of all food production areas etc
- Assist the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Sous Chef in the development and implementation of training plans, training material for employees of the Stewarding Department and other Food & Beverage department, in accordance with Hotel guidelines and policy
- Ensure compliance with Hotel’s Risk Management Policy and hotel’s Environmental Policy
Job Requirements:
- 2 years or above in related experience in stewarding operation or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Diploma or Vocational certificate in Culinary Skills or related field
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company
- Able to read, write and speak basic English and Mandarin
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often
- Will be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
