Responsibilities
- The Management Trainee (Housekeeping) Programme is designed for graduates who demonstrate the intellectual capability and professional potential to develop into future leaders within Hyatt’s Housekeeping operations
- The programme is Housekeeping-focused, with rotations/exposure arranged to support operational understanding (e.g., rooms cleaning operations, public area standards, linen & uniform, inventory/amenities), as aligned with business needs
- A strong level of computer proficiency is required. The trainee will place emphasis on coordinator and administrative support work, including daily reporting, documentation, scheduling coordination, inter-departmental follow-up, and data tracking to support Housekeeping operations
- Successful candidates will complete an intensive 1.5-year (18-month) training programme
- The programme structure is customized based on the trainee’s background, performance, career interests within Housekeeping, and the hotel’s operational requirements
Qualifications
- The program is open to graduates who have a relevant degree in Hospitality or Tourism Management
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn new systems and software
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Customer and service orientated
- Good problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are resourceful and a self-starter, making sure that they take ownership for maximizing the learning opportunities offered by the program
