Vice President, Card & Unsecured Lending Onboarding, Consumer Banking Group Operations

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. 

Responsibilities

• Drive superior credit card and unsecured lending services to customers that satisfy their changing financial needs
• Oversee, monitor and control the entire operation process of Card & Unsecured Lending team
• Lead, coach and develop the members to achieve the section’s goals and to complete their responsibilities
• Identify and develop potential staff for talent management, career development and succession planning
• Drive people management and engagement within the team
• Develop and transform operations process
• Drive digital initiatives to streamline operation process
• Participate in new product/business/system initiative development by assessing operations/ regulatory issues, evaluating computer system feasibility/enhancement needs and allocation of resources to meet the Bank’s marketing and sales strategy
• Support in ad-hoc project and assist to conduct UAT & LV on various systems enhancements so as to have better customer experience, increase productivity and control effectiveness in daily operations
• Understand the bank policies on data protection, risk & security control and regulatory compliance to comply with requirements; and escalate problem / exception to supervisor or manager immediately
• Review and minimize operational risk within the team
• Timely escalate issue or incident to supervisor

Requirements

• Degree holder in business administration, information system or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on credit card and unsecured lending operations
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements
• Good communication skills in English & Chinese
