Assistant Housekeeper

As the Assistant Housekeeper at Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness and physical condition of the hotel guestrooms, meeting rooms, hallways, and public areas. You'll maintain a positive and friendly attitude with all guests and other employees to act as the communicator and liaison between guests and cleaners.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Ensuring our guest accommodation and all areas front and back of house are maintained in spotless condition at all times.
• Supervising housekeeping staff and ensuring adherence to established standards
• Responsible for training of new staff and ensuring that new employees are familiar with house rules and regulations including safety and hygiene
• Organising work with proper personnel, making necessary revision in staffing and work schedule
• Handling guest complaints professionally and efficiently
• Monitoring the activities of the Rooms Control person to ensure the efficient allocation of rooms for cleaning and prompt change of status to the front office   

What we need from you

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel housekeeping team, with at least 2 years at supervisory role
• A diploma in hospitality management, or related field
• Strong service mindset, good planning and orgaising skills
• Solid training and coaching skills
• Good command of both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is a must, speaking and writing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word
