Duty Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensures the correct, efficient and timely operation and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical services.
• Provides technical support and leads and supervises in fault diagnosis and trouble shooting.
• Constantly evaluate the systems, plants operation for modification and improvement.
• Supervises all jobs assigned to outside contractors.
• Keeps the Duty Manager informed of any major breakdowns or incidents during the shift.
• Assists in coordinating and execution of special projects and contractual work.
• Ensures that all established rules, regulations, policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.

Requirements

• Formal Apprenticeship Training/OC/HC in related Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification background
• Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A or above
• 3 years with Hotel engineering working experience or equivalent related experience
• Good technical knowledge in electrical system, fire services system, plumbing & drainage  system and MVAC system, etc.
• Work on night shift, weekends, and/or holidays may be required
