Reporting to the Senior Manager (Development) in the Development and Alumni Office, the appointee will contribute to fulfilling the outreach and fundraising duties of the University while developing his/her own portfolio. The appointee will handle the fundraising work of the Office. Specifically, he/she will (i) assist the Senior Manager of the team to identify and cultivate prospective donors, develop appropriate options for them, and solicit and manage the donations; (ii) plan and organize stewardship/networking events for donors and prospective donors; and (iii) develop online engagement initiatives to strengthen relationship with broader communities. The appointee will play a key role in fulfilling the team’s fundraising targets while simultaneously developing his/her own portfolio to scale results over time.
The ideal candidate should be genuinely interested in people, possess an outgoing personality, and have a passion for personal development. Outstanding communication skills, networking abilities, a proactive attitude, and the drive and enthusiasm to carry out projects to completion are essential.
Applicants should have a recognized bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in education fundraising, or sales and marketing in the private sector. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are essential. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
