About the job

Based at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Kitchen - Pastry Department in Hong Kong, the Demi Chef de Partie is responsible to assist the Junior Sous Chef & Chef de Partie in day to day running of the department and production of all food items according to the highest standards. The Demi Chef de Partie reports to the Junior Sous Chef & Chef de Partie.

As Demi Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain the smooth running of the day-to-day operational procedures in the kitchen
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of refrigerators and service area
• Maintain good relations with other sections for distribution of workload
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time

As Demi Chef de Partie, we expect from you: 

• Solid experience in hotels or reputable restaurants
• Pleasant, self-motivated, detail-orientated and able to work independently
• Good food & beverage and menu planning knowledge
• Good organising, communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken Chinese and English
