About the job

Based at the The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within SOMM Kitchen in Hong Kong, the Commis is responsible to assist the department head or supervisor with daily working requirements; maintain standards and cleanliness for selected outlet. Commis reports to the Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, Chef de Partie.

As Commis, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist in the smooth running of the day-to-day operational procedures in the kitchen
• Be Responsible for mise-en-place preparation
• Ensure neatness and cleanliness of refrigerators and service area
• Maintain good relations with other sections for distribution of workload
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head from time to time

As Commis, we expect from you:

• With relevant culinary academic background or work experience
• Willing to learn with positive mindset
• Good command of spoken English and Chinese
