Assistant Accounting Manager (Fund Accounting)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and coach the junior staff to support daily operations in relation to preparing the portfolio valuation and financial statements for designated portfolios and various types of funds such as SFC authorized fund, retirement funds etc.
• Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including the recording and reporting of the settlement, transactions, income recognition and valuation for the funds
• Review monthly, quarterly and annual internal and regulatory reporting and ensure accuracy and timeliness of submission
• Review internal and external annual audit and ensure compliance with the applicable account standard and fulfill relevant regulations and guidelines
•  Assist in new fund launches and fund onboarding processes, new projects and fund restricting/closing, including KYC checks, custody/investment account opening, system setup etc
• Participate in system development projects, in particular user requirement collection, UAT, system migration and deployment
• Identify opportunities for the process enhancements
• Lead and mentor a team and foster a collaborative work environment
• Handle any ad-hoc tasks and assignments

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting
• Independent and self-motivated ,with good problem solving skills and strong sense of responsibility
• Knowledgeable in fund structure and relevant local and international laws and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in MS office application; familiar with Chinese word processing
• Good written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Experience in using SAP or YSS system is highly preferred
