Global Markets COO – Global Markets Operations

Global Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution.  We manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Global Markets as Global Markets Operations Manager. reporting to Head of Equity & Rates Derivatives. 

Principal responsibilities

• Assist the Team Head to provide operations support to global markets business, with focus on Fixed Income and Repo products, performing validation, confirmation, coupon events and settlements.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with internal and related regulatory requirements
• Provide support and implement operational procedures complied with internal guidelines and relevant regulatory requirement
• Provide support on project / systems implementation, workflow design, and process re-engineering initiatives.
• Participate in the development, testing and implementation of relevant investment product launch and system enhancements
• Work closely with various stakeholders including business users, IT departments, legal and compliance to ensure effective operations

Requirements

• University degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications
• Minimum of eight years' banking experience preferably in GM products, with strong technical knowledge of Fixed Income, Repo and Triparty covering international markets will be an advantage
• Understanding of GDR reporting is an advantage
• Attentiveness to details and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
• Great sense of ownership, solution-orientated and can-do mindset
