About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Division in Hong Kong, the Head Bartender/Bartender is responsible for ensuring guest’s satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous service, while maintaining smooth daily operations and the quality service standard of the bar. The Head Bartender/Bartender reports to the Director of Beverage - Terrace Boulud.

As Head Bartender/Bartender - Terrace Boulud, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Oversee the daily operations, quality service standard and maintenance work of the bar
• Meet and greet guests in a professional and efficient manner
• Be familiar with all brands of spirits and wine in stock and the use of glassware
• Keep the storeroom clean and organized at all times
• Ensure all equipment and spirits are stored in their designed place
• Assist with the monthly training and provide on-the-job training as needed
• Ensure that all beverage costs are in line and under control
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by your department head from time to time

As Head Bartender/Bartender - Terrace Boulud, we expect from you:

• With relevant experience in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre-opening experience in a luxury hotel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese communication
• Passionate in customer service and hospitality industry
