Head of Procurement and Vendor Management

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the company-wide indirect procurement and vendor management framework, strategies, and policies to support business objectives
  • Establish and oversee robust governance and control processes to ensure all procurement and vendor management activities are in strict compliance with policies
  • Provide strategic counsel and regular updates to senior executive management on all significant vendor management matters, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and present comprehensive management reports on vendor performance, risk, compliance, and cost-effectiveness
  • Liaise with the Group on procurement and vendor management initiatives, ensuring adherence to regular reporting, audit, and other group-level requirements
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, focusing on professional development and engagement
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the vendor management function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • University degree holder or above in Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in procurement and vendor management, with experiences in financial institute and state-owned enterprise
  • Extensive hands-on experience on procurement and vendor management processes
  • A proven track record with leadership role, managing and developing a team of procurement or vendor management professionals
  • Deep and hands-on expertise in the full lifecycle of procurement and vendor management
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese. Proficient in reading and writing Simplified Chinese and fluency in Mandarin are significant advantages
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications and Chinese word processing
