Director of Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all hotel facilities, equipment, and maintenance services, safeguarding the property’s assets
• Provide advice to senior management on maintenance strategies and operational efficiency
• Ensure all engineering installations, constructions, and operations are comply with hotel and government agencies’ policy and audience
• Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and FLHSS (Fire Life Health Safety and Security) measures of Lanson Place Hospitality
• Prepare and evaluate the designs and specifications for all Engineering projects both in-house and via contractors
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and safety
• Submit property enhancement proposal and make recommendations for General Manager’s approval
• Performs all other related duties as assigned by General Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in Building Services /Mechanical /Electrical Engineering or in a related discipline
• Registered Electrical Worker, Grade B or C and green card
• Minimum 10 years of hotel experience, and with at least 5 years at managerial role or equivalent experience
• Good technical knowledge in electrical system, fire services system, plumbing & drainage system and MVAC system, etc.
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivated and a team player
• Commitment to sustainability and excellence  
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
