Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibility 

  • Assist the Team Lead to supervise and guide the subordinates to ensure smooth running of the section
  • Manage working relationships with clients, other service partners to ensure that a seamless process flows for applications
  • Act as a main contact point to effectively communicate with internal departments, customers, service providers on relevant inquiries, matters or complaints
  • Ensure the activities of the team such as processing of transaction update, subscription, redemption and cash instructions, stock and cash and net asset value reconciliation, fund valuation, etc are completed as per established procedures and guidelines, within specified standards of quality, agreed service level, turnaround time and agreed cut-off time
  • Perform fund valuation and net asset value reconciliation
  • Check general ledger and transaction input
  • Liaise with auditor on Fund audit work
  • Check to ensure subscription and redemption records are properly updated in the system
  • Handle enquiries from fund manager in an efficient manner
  • Check to ensure stock and cash reconciliation and ensure fees and expenses are properly accrued
  • Adhere to the operating procedures, and comply with company requirements, regulatory requirements (e.g. HKMA, MAS, etc) and Audit / Risk Management guidelines pertaining to the operations
  • Report any suspicious / outstanding transaction or incident to Team Lead, Team Head, Department Head and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy
  • Participate in user acceptance test for system enhancements. Review business requirements and functional specifications. Prepare test cases and conduct testing
  • Participate in project initiatives and business development, e.g. customer implementation, business continuity management, review of operational procedures, policies and guidelines; specific and job related training, etc.
  • Handle regular and ad hoc tasks as designed by Team Lead and Team Head

Requirement 

  • University Graduate or above in Business or related disciplines
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in Fund Administration and 3-5 years’ experience of people management
  • Sound experience of banking operation and practices
  • Good understanding and exposure of securities service/custody and/or fund administration is required
  • Scrum master, PMP and other relevant certification will be an advantage
  • Be familiar with the market trend and new product / system development of local and foreign securities market and fund administration
  • Good leadership and management capabilities
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical mind and creative thinking
  • Able to build an effective teamwork within the section and co-operate in a harmonious and productive manner with superiors
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving and negotiation techniques
  • Good team player, supportive and flexible to take up departmental tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and command in English and Chinese (both spoken & written)
  • Good presentation skills and knowledge in MS Office
