We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Team Lead to oversee our Corporate Banking Application team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in the development, implementation, and support of critical banking applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in banking technology, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the regulatory environment. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our banking platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers, system analysts, and support staff
- Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and capacity planning
- Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and facilitate professional development plans for team members
2. Technical Strategy & Execution:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for the design, development, testing, and deployment of banking software solutions
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices in coding, security, and architecture
- Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management of banking systems
3. Project & Delivery Management:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to general banking
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and set realistic timelines
- Track project progress, manage risks, and communicate status effectively to senior management
4. Production Support & Stability:
- Ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and security for all production banking systems
- Oversee the incident and problem management process, leading the resolution of critical system issues with a sense of urgency
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery procedures
5. Compliance & Security:
- Ensure all systems and processes comply with internal security policies, banking regulations and audit requirements
- Work closely with the Information Security and Compliance teams to conduct risk assessments and implement necessary controls
- Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience within the banking or financial services industry
- Proven hands-on experience with Core Banking Platforms and/or key banking modules
- Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and the regulatory landscape
- Solid experience with software development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
