Assistant Sommelier

Responsibilities

• Assist in wine list design and implementation
• Manage wine cellar and ensure proper storage
• Recommend the most suitable wine to the guest and deliver excellent wine food pairing
• Knowledgeable of all wine products being offered to guests
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standard in workplace

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in hotel or upscale bar
• Holder of WSET Certificate Level II is preferred
• Professional beverage and wine knowledge
• Practical knowledge of beverage operations and service
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene compliance
• Strong inter-personal and presentation skills
• Good spoken in English & Mandarin is preferred
