Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Reservations Department in Hong Kong, the Reservations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the Reservations Department and to provide supervision in the Reservations Department in accordance with the objectives, performance and quality standards established by the hotel. The Reservations Supervisor reports to the Reservations Manager.
As Reservations Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist the Reservations Manager to oversee the Room Reservations Department to ensure an effective daily workflow and the delivery of exceptional level of service.
- Assist in the managing, training and developing of the team.
- Execute direction and lead the Reservations team to ensure both revenue and quality targets are achieved.
- Ensure team members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service and selling techniques.
- Build strong relationships with guests and team members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively.
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales and Catering team to maximize yielding opportunities.
- Ensure proper implementation of reservations procedures and maximize conversion ratios.
- Actively promote upselling and cross-selling within the reservations team.
As Reservations Supervisor, we expect from you:
- 3 years of work experience in Reservations with same capacity, preferably in luxury hotel
- Degree holder in hotel management or other related disciplines
- Excellent communication skills and fluent in both written and spoken English, Chinese including Cantonese and Mandarin
- Excellent organisational and computer skills
- Other foreign language literacy is a plus.
