Responsibilities

To assume duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Chief Engineer/ Senior Duty Engineer during his absence.
To supervise and direct subordinates to complete the assigned tasks according to the agreed repair and maintenance program.
To be responsible for managing installation, maintenance and repairs projects of the hotel.
To coordinate with contractors in carrying out routine maintenance.
To assist in providing training for staff, evaluating their progress and performance periodically; and ensure that they are working in the most practical, skillful and safe manner.
To assess safety and health risks in the work place and take necessary precautions if required.
To check the daily progress of repair and maintenance work orders.
To analyze and monitor the consumption of fuel, power and water of the hotel and recommend measures to save energy.
To read the Engineering Log Book daily and take the corrective action as required.
To perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker in Grade A and Grade B is preferred.
Certificate of Construction Industry Safety Training.
Certificate worker in confined space is preferred.
Certificate in Fire Fighting course is preferred.
