AVP, Credit Approver (Commercial Credit Department)

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve credit applications within the delegated approval authority
• Identify and highlight exceptions against the Bank’s lending policy and standard terms and conditions being offered to borrowing clients
• Manage and monitor portfolio of assigned units and ensure credit quality comply with the Bank’s credit policies and risk appetites
• Provide recommendations for credit applications requiring higher approval authority
• Be an industry expert on an assigned industry to provide the bank regular updates
• Conduct client calls and factory visits whenever necessary
• Perform other ad hoc projects or assignments

Requirements:

• University graduate in Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy or related disciplines
• Holder of Certified Credit Risk Management Professional (Credit Portfolio Management) (CCRP(CPM)) by HKIB under ECF on Credit Risk Management
• Minimum 5 years’ credit approval experience of SME, Commercial or Corporate Credit applications
• Sound knowledge in corporate lending products, accounting principles and financial statement analysis
• Good understanding in key market and industry dynamics
• Strong analytical skills with good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
