Vice President, Treasury Accounting (Product Control)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the performance of the product control related tasks (e.g. daily P&L analysis and attribution, off market checking);
• Accounting for treasury products (e.g. Accounting classification, hedge Accounting and the related accounting entries);
• Ensure mark-to-market on Treasury Products as provided by internal / external parties are correctly reflected in the Bank's ledger;
• Front to Back reconciliation (i.e. Kondor K+TP to General Ledger and monthly P&L & B/S reconciliation).
• Manage FX exposure sell down process;
• Ensure Treasury activities are complied with the Bank's polices from accounting control perspectives such as daily P&L sign-off;
• Oversight due diligence on (new) treasury product/ with modified features, and UAT to ensure the accounting rules are properly set up for treasury products;
• Coordinate with external auditors and prepare investment related schedules and disclosures for interim review and annual audit;
• Provide support to ALCO & other internal stakeholders; ad-hoc reporting, support and projects as required.

Requirements:

• University graduate in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years of  relevant experience (e.g. financial reporting, financial control or product control) gained from banking industry
• Strong knowledge in product accounting for treasury products
• Solid knowledge in regulatory and reporting requirement for treasury products
• Experience in treasury system setup
• Team player, self-motivated and able to meet tight timelines
• Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Conversant with MS Office, accounting and reporting systems
