We are looking for an Indian Chef based at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong!
As an Indian Chef, we rely on you to:
- Prepare the daily requisition for all required food items of the restaurant
- Ensure that all food products are served in accordance with established policies, guidelines and recipes
- Assist Senior Chefs in working out recipes and food related promotions
- Ensure that the cost control policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure the cleanliness of utensils and work areas, kitchen equipment are being handling and maintained properly
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in prestigious Hotels or restaurants with 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Expertise in a particular Indian and South East Asian Cuisine would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of authentic Indian food and food trend in the market
- Understanding in the operation of relevant section, including daily operation, cost control and procurement system, HACCP, Work Safety and employee related matters
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English
