Team Head / Senior Manager of IT infrastructure & Operations

Responsibilities

• Oversees the architecture and implementation of ongoing support of the network, server, and communications infrastructure in order to ensure high performance of the IT department.
• In charge of business continuity and disaster recovery within the department as well as the recommendation and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure. To assume responsibility of oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of security firewalls, sites/software, servers, data and file encryption, and internet connections.
• Ensure consistency and maintainability of existent infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions.
• Play an analytical role to assess constantly the effectiveness of the existing sites, software/applications, data, and processes developed by the department.
• Analyzes complex business requirements and makes recommendations to CTO for technical solutions, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission, and direction.
• Play a lead role in the maintenance of knowledge within the IT department, coordinating the implementation of best practices and the adoption of suitable trends, and keep track of licensing on all IT related items.

Requirements

• Bachelor or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field. MBA could be a bonus.
• A minimum of 7 years in working experience in a senior IT position within banking environment, preferably working as a Head of IT Operations.
• Must demonstrate successful experience leading a comprehensive team to work with cutting edge technologies like Public Cloud and Mobile and with a wide variety of productivity and business software and have a proven track record of creative solution delivery and delivery on business needs, and an intimate understanding of network infrastructure technologies.
• Must have exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form. This is especially so for this leadership position where s/he will be required to convey instructions and sensitive information down the line to both onsite and offshore delivery teams.
• Possess good communication skills in this collaborative role, similarly determining how effectively collaborative tasks are handled. S/he will further need exceptional skills in drafting reports for CTO.
• Technology knowledge on public cloud solutions – AWS/Google Cloud/AliCloud, DevOps, APIs, and other Infrastructure Knowledge around database, server, storage, firewall, connectivity etc.
• Frequent travel to ShenZhen is required.
