Director of Aircraft Asset Management

About the client

Our client is a trusted aviation asset management firm with a global footprint, specializing in aircraft components and leasing solutions. They are seeking high caliber persons to join their team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain comprehensive systems for aircraft leasing asset management
• Support technical negotiations during aircraft lease contracts
• Lead risk assessments for aircraft delivery acceptance, returns, and disposal
• Monitor technical conditions including maintenance logs and airworthiness
• Track asset values and conduct regular performance reviews
• Perform periodic aircraft valuations (age, technical status, market demand)
• Adjust portfolio strategy based on appraisal outcomes
• Develop end-of-lease plans, including sale, re-lease, retirement options
• Negotiate and execute disposal transactions
• Report asset performance to senior management, providing data-driven decision support

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Aviation or Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance is preferred; major in Engineering or Manufacturing also considered
• Minimum 8 years in aircraft leasing asset management or related field
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager role
• Experience in Aircraft maintenance, annual inspections, aging aircraft management/ disposition, or lease returns and disposal processes is a plus
• Deep understanding of aviation regulations (international & Hong Kong SAR frameworks)
• Strong risk management and financial appraisal skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
