AVP, Branch Management (Quality Assurance, Branch Control & Operations)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine on-site surveillance reviews at Branches, monitor and report on branch compliance issues
• Provide quality assurance advisory to banking business & operations units. Collaborate with different departments teams and closely work with internal staff to ensure alignment and coordination of in-house compliance review, surveillance program activities, training and education programs
• Gather, analyze, prepare management reporting materials and monitor quality surveillance results, trends and identify control deficiencies. Facilitate sharing and training of quality assurance knowledge to business teams
• Prepare in-house compliance reviews report to highlight exceptions and provide recommendations for ongoing improvement to the branch operations & control, and service delivery.
• Monitor and track the implementation of relevant recommendations and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
• Carry out support investigation at the request from management, of high severity customer complaints; operational incidents, and compile reports for internal and external stakeholder;
• Continuously improve the in-house compliance reviews functions by implementing best practices, enhancing assurance & surveillance framework methodologies, and leveraging business teams and technology tools etc.
• Perform ad-hoc project task as assigned

Requirements:

• University graduate in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ banking experience in branch QA functions, audit and compliance & controls
• Conversant with the banking rules and regulatory requirements
• Sound knowledge of branch operation and risk in retail banking
• Strong reporting writing , analytical and interpersonal skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and Chinese Word Processing
